LYME REGIS, LTD opened in 1983 in New York City initially near The South Street Seaport then later on Thompson Street in Soho.  In 1999 LYME REGIS,LTD  opened its doors in the beautiful old-fashioned but fashionable town of Kent in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut.

The town of Lyme Regis, for which the shop is named, can be found on the English Channel where Devon and Dorset meet.  It was here that Eighteenth and Nineteenth amateur naturalists hunted for fossils, in particular, Ammonites.  I am intrigued by the idea  of people forming collections especially collections of natural curiosities and  my shop reflects this.  See for yourself and  ENJOY!
